Size Guide

The right size is what matters most in how a leather jacket looks and feels. The charts below show body measurements. Each product's own garment measurements (chest width, length, sleeve length) are listed separately on its product page.

How to measure

Take your measurements over a thin T-shirt, keeping the tape snug but not tight and parallel to the floor. If possible, ask someone to help.

  • Chest: With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest, just below your armpits.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, usually a few centimeters above your navel.
  • Hips (women): Measure around the fullest part of your hips, with your feet together.
  • Shoulders: Measure across your back in a straight line, from the tip of one shoulder to the other.
  • Sleeve length: With your arm slightly bent, measure from the tip of your shoulder, over your elbow, down to your wrist bone.

Fits

Every product page states the fit of the style:

  • Slim: A close, body-skimming fit, designed to be worn over a thin top. For a more relaxed feel, choose one size up.
  • Regular: A classic, balanced fit with room for a thin sweater underneath. Choose your usual size.
  • Oversize: A deliberately roomy fit with dropped shoulders. Choose your usual size; for a less loose look, try one size down.

If you're between sizes

  • Go by your chest measurement; for leather jackets, the chest and shoulders are what count.
  • If you plan to wear a thick sweater or cardigan underneath, choose the larger size.
  • The shoulder seam should end at the tip of your shoulder, and with your arms down, the sleeve should cover your wrist bone.

Does leather stretch over time?

Leather softens slightly as you wear it and adapts to the way you move; cowhide in particular loses its initial stiffness within the first few weeks. However, a jacket will not stretch noticeably or grow a full size. Don't count on a jacket that feels tight at first to loosen up over time; choose the size in which you can move your arms freely and the shoulders fit well.
