Product and Leather
Are your products genuine leather? How can I tell?
Yes. All of our jackets are made from genuine leather; the leather type is listed on every product page and on the product label. You can recognize genuine leather by these features:
- The surface has irregular pores and slight variations in texture; the pattern never repeats exactly.
- If you look at a cut edge, you'll see a fibrous structure; faux leather has a fabric backing instead.
- It has a distinctive, subtle leather scent.
- When you hold it in your hands, it quickly takes on your body heat.
What is the difference between lambskin, cowhide, goatskin and suede?
- Lambskin nappa: The softest and lightest leather. It molds easily to the body and drapes fluidly. Ideal for both dressy and everyday wear; more prone to scuffs and scratches.
- Cowhide: Thicker and more durable. It feels stiff at first, then softens over time and gains character. Ideal for biker and classic cuts.
- Goatskin: Has a distinctive, tightly grained surface. As light as lambskin, with durability close to cowhide.
- Suede: A velvety, matte surface created by buffing the inner side of the hide. Very elegant, but the most sensitive leather type when it comes to water and stains.
Does a leather jacket stretch over time?
Not noticeably. As you wear it, leather softens slightly and shapes to your body; it feels more comfortable especially at the elbows and shoulders. However, it won't grow a full size. So don't expect a jacket that feels tight on the first try to loosen up over time; choose the size that is comfortable yet fitted.
Can I wear a leather jacket in the rain?
Lambskin nappa, cowhide and goatskin are not affected by light rain. If your jacket gets wet, gently pat it dry with a soft towel and let it dry at room temperature on a wide hanger; do not use a radiator or hair dryer. We recommend not wearing suede jackets in the rain.
How should I care for my leather jacket?
Store it on a wide-shouldered hanger, in a breathable garment bag, away from sunlight. Condition smooth leather with a leather care cream once or twice a year, and clean suede with a suede brush. For details, see the Leather Care Guide.
Size
Which size should I choose?
Use the measurement charts in the Size Guide and go by your chest measurement. The product page states whether the cut is Slim, Regular or Oversize. If you're between two sizes:
- Choose the smaller size if you'll wear it over a thin top,
- Choose the larger size if you'll wear a thick sweater underneath.

Shipping, Returns and Exchanges
When will my order ship, and when will it arrive?
Your order ships with Yurtiçi Kargo within 1–3 business days. Once shipped, delivery usually takes 1–3 business days. Shipping is free on orders of ₺10,000.00 or more.
How do I track my order?
When your order ships, your tracking number is sent to you by e-mail and SMS. You can track your package on the Order tracking page on our website or on the Yurtiçi Kargo website.
How do I return an item?
Within 14 days of delivery, submit a return request by writing to admin@derileather.com, including your order number. Send the item back free of charge using the Yurtiçi Kargo return code we provide. Your refund is issued within 14 days at the latest from the date we receive your request. The item must have its tags attached, be unworn, and be free of odors and stains.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes, size exchanges are free. Submit an exchange request by sending your order number and the new size you'd like to admin@derileather.com. If the size you want is out of stock, your payment will be refunded.
Payment and Invoicing
Do you offer installments?
Yes. You can pay in up to 12 installments with credit cards from our partner banks. The options available for your card are shown at the payment step. Installments are not available with debit cards.
Can I get a corporate invoice?
Yes. At the payment step, select the "Corporate invoice" option and enter your company name, tax office and tax number. Your invoice will be issued electronically and sent to your e-mail address.

Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship only to addresses within Türkiye.
Will a sold-out item come back?
Some styles are restocked. On the product page, select your size and click the "Notify me when available" button; we'll let you know by e-mail as soon as the item is back in stock.
